I wanted my own email address so I'm not tied to any particular provider, so I did up a minimalist two page site with just contact details and a brief bio, plus a blog page. In keeping with the minimalist theme, I've done a minimalist blog - visitors get only the latest post when they visit the page.
This style would suit someone who want's their own domain name for a personalised email address and perhaps a future working site, whilst being useful for contact details and a simple blog page in the mean time.

Remotely editable news pages and collapsible ‘Accordion’ content system for the text-heavy pages are a feature, along with a detailed contact and enquiry form that helps the owner provide an appropriate response to the sender.
